About me

I am a senior principal applied scientist at the OCI Generative AI Science team, responsible for tackling problems in the intersection of generative AI, agents, analytics, machine learning, and optimization. Before that, I led research and development efforts of multiple features at AWS, including Q for Generative SQL a text-to-SQL agent for Amazon Redshift, Structured Knowledge Bases in Amazon Bedrock, Q data integration in AWS Glue, and Amazon DataZone. Prior to joining AWS, I was a machine learning engineer at Instacart, a research staff member at IBM Research - Almaden and a researcher at NEC Laboratories America.

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I worked in the database research group with Prof. Elke A. Rundensteiner. I have conducted research in the areas of query processing and optimizations, scalable data stream processing systems, complex event processing systems, natural language interfaces to data, and graph representation learning.
